We received about 15 responses to our inquiry about changing the date of the Kentucky QSO Party. (See previous post.) We want to thank all of those who replied. The general consensus was very clear that the first weekend in June would work just fine for most hams. Several mentioned that a June date should also generate some activity on 6 meters.
Given that June is only a few months off, your committee made the decision to make it official and start notifying websites and the ARRL about the new date. We also decided to adjust the time slightly to better fit daylight savings hours, and we added one more hour (to make it a 12 hour contest) which should help generate some activity at the end on the low bands.
See exact dates and times in the Rules tab on this website. Please help us get the word out to clubs and hams across the state.
We want to activate Kentucky the first week in June!
